Chapter 13!

I hate blog posts that start with “sorry it’s been a while,” so forget it. I’m not apologizing. I am happy that chapter 13 was finally released though. The plan was to always release them two and two, but chapter 13 and 14 are both kinda long, so once I was done with 13 I decided to release it right away.

The banner this time is a photo of the reconstruction of Agrippa’s palace in Caesarea Philippi. It was on an information sign next to the actual ruins. The place is called Banias now, and is located in the north, close to the Lebanese border. It’s a beautiful and lush area with green vegetation and a beautiful water stream. There is an ancient shrine dedicated to the Roman god Pan, and that’s why the name eventually became “Banias” – an arabization of Pan. Highly recommended place to visit if you’re ever in the Galilee.

The actual ruins of Agrippa’s palace.

The beautiful nature in the area.

The photos are from my research trip in May 2017, when I visited Gamla, Banias, Migdal and mount Arbel. Most of these places have already been featured in my story – only Gamla left.

And that’s where we are going in chapter 14. The famous battle of Gamla!
