Tuvia Pollack is a Jewish Israeli believer in Jesus, a writer, and a teacher based in Jerusalem. Through history, Hebrew, and life in modern Israel, he helps Christians discover the Bible in its original Jewish context.
Born in Sweden as the grandson of a Holocaust refugee from Germany, Tuvia immigrated to Israel at the age of thirteen. Living within Hebrew-speaking Israeli society has given him a daily familiarity with the language, geography, and culture of the Bible that shapes both his writing and his teaching.
Tuvia’s writing seeks to help Christians understand Scripture more deeply through its original language, history, and setting. Rather than approaching the Bible merely as an academic subject, he aims to show how its historical and cultural world can enrich faith, prayer, and everyday discipleship.
Tuvia publishes weekly on Substack, writes regularly for All Israel News, and is the author of a forthcoming devotional to be published by Bethany House in 2028. He also produces a monthly newsletter and creates short videos from biblical and historical sites throughout Israel.

In addition to writing, Tuvia regularly teaches Scripture in his local Messianic congregation through expository series delivered in Hebrew with English translation. He has also spoken at churches, conferences, educational events, and on podcasts in Israel and abroad.
Writing and historical reflection run through several generations of Tuvia’s family. His great-grandaunt, Erna Meyer, authored the first Zionist cookbook for WIZO, while another ancestor, Saweli M. Perlmann, wrote the first book ever published in Hebrew about China in 1911. Although Tuvia’s own path into writing came much later, he sees his work as part of a longstanding family interest in language, history, and Jewish life.
Alongside his writing, Tuvia continues to work in finance and holds a BA in Economics from an Israeli university, completed in Hebrew.
Alongside his nonfiction, Tuvia also writes historical fiction. His novel The Secret Scroll of Magdala, set during the Great Revolt, remains a long-term passion project while his current focus is nonfiction.
Tuvia lives in Jerusalem with his wife of more than twenty years, their four children, and their dog. Family life continues to shape both his writing and his perspective, reminding him that faith is lived out not only in history books and biblical texts, but also around the dinner table and in everyday life.
